Differences in
standards from club to club and region to region have caused
much confusion with hobbyists. This club is only about rats,
and will include a set of standards that is uniform accross
the country. The RSA will encourage members to maintain
ethical practices with regard to breeding and to strive to
improve the fancy by breeding to the same high standards.
The RSA isn't about making up new names for established
types/markings/mismarks, but is about breeding and showing
for the whole rat using health, temperment, and uniform
standards for conformation and type. Members, whether new or
existing, are eligible to help and support the RSA in
creating these uniform standards.
